If you are sensitive to taxidermy, are against it, or have any negative thoughts about it, then please look away and keep it to yourself.

I don't have many full body pictures of my boy at all, so I decided to take some! He's so big and fluffy and amazing and I just can't get enough of him. ;-;

This is Jowels, my Alaskan coyote. He was roadkill, so don't go thinking he was killed just for his fur or anything silly like that. I'm glad someone decided to preserve his beauty, instead of letting him rot on the side of the road.

Only his head is mounted, and beautifully, by :iconzhon:.

I've had Jowels for about two years now...and up until recently, he was my first and only fur. He is, and will always be, my favorite. He fueled my new found addiction, and I'm glad he did. He really helped me open my eyes even more to the beauty of taxidermy.

I hope you will all appreciate him even an ounce as much as I do!

As much as I have always disapproved of the fur business, this sort I do support. Using every last inch of the body instead of lettin it go to waste. Just like the indians did. They didn't just kill for the meat, they used everything down to the bones. What they couldn't eat was given to their dogs (meat wise).
I remember when got Jowels, has it really been two years? Daaamn..
He is a beautiful piece and he died more or less naturally, a car isnt exactly natural, but it wasn't an intentional killing.
I'm glad someone made use of his body after he pased, and I am glad someone takes so much delight in having him.

Thank you for the wonderful comment!
I truly do take delight in having him, and feel lucky to have him. He truly has such an amazing aura about him, even if he's no longer alive...in a sense, he is alive. I consider it, in a sense, like being reborn, especially when such a beautiful and large creature passed fairly early in life. (I was told he appeared to be around three when he was hit.)

I do wish people would be more respectful of animals, especially where I live...as you might've seen me rant many times before, people are absolutely horrible here. They go out and kill animals just to kill them, use birds (like geese, and ducks) as target practice, then dump full bodies by creeks in hopes it will rain, and simply wash them away. Majority of the time these things are done illegally- and not too long ago, my mom and I found two deer shot out of season, and one very much pregnant. It really hurts me, and I try to salvage as much as I can when I do run into situations like that...I can't stand to see such beautiful animals be treated so horribly.
