Lullaby Free Spirit's first visit to the vet with us the day after she came to me. Sad day, really, but I love this picture of her. She was an abused wolf/husky hybrid that I rescued. She had been beaten horribly, but still had such a wonderful spirit. Too bad she couldn't have been saved. That day, we found out she was heart worm positive, and only five days after, found out she had seizures from brain damage. So we worked on her, and started giving her pills for the seizures. After a while, I noticed her belly getting bigger and harder, and nothing else filling out. I had a feeling she was pregnant, and my feeling was right. On new years eve, she had five beautiful puppies between 1 and 5 A.M.
She was only able to raise them to three weeks old, and she did a wonderful job at that. By three weeks old, the puppies were able to eat solid-ish food, and were as healthy as can be. But she wasn't doing so good at all. She was always trying to get out, and hurting herself in the works. I'd take her for walks, and she wouldn't stop, as if someone was after her. If we had continued to leave her in that state, she would have hurt the puppies, herself, and us, without even knowing it, really.
We put her to sleep January 25th, and now, she will be able to rest, and no longer be in pain. Through the short time I had her, she was such a wonderful animal, and will forever be a part of me and my family, along with her beautiful legacy's. I have always wanted to start an animal rescue, and she really inspired me to continue with my dream. She will be missed dearly.
she looks absolutely beautiful. I hope all of the puppies have wonderful homes and get daily loving from their owners ^^

"Time Passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me..." - Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon"
That's kind of the story of my kitten Kajsa, she also had seizures and when we took her to the vet to sterelize her she didn't take the anastetic ( curse you english for having such a hard langusih, curse you!) very well and if you'd put her to sleep you'd have to use so much anastetic that she'd been put on the line between life and death... therefor we put her to sleep Funnily I haven't cried at all... I think it's because I won't let myself be sad. Or I'm a heartless bastard, whatever you want to look at it.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
